Joint Operation kills ISIL Military Council Member

A joint operation by our Counter Terrorism Forces (CTD) and U.S. Special Forces, kills leading Islamic State (ISIL) member in South Mosul.

On 18 April 2016, a joint operation by the Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD), part and parcel of the Kurdistan Region Security Council, and U.S. Special Forces resulted in killing a senior ISIL member, Salman Abu Shabib al-Jebouri.

Al-Jebouri, also known as Abu Saif, was a member ISIL’s military council, supervising the group’s activities in South Mosul and Makhmour.
